Admissions Criteria

Thank you for your interest in the Global Academy of Real World Learning, L.L.C. (GARWL). We are excited to welcome students who are passionate about learning, growing spiritually, and preparing for success in the global community. Below, you will find the criteria for admission to GARWL for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Written Policy Regarding Admission:

Global Academy of Real World Learning, L.L.C. is an online institution serving students in Kindergarten. We are committed to providing a high-quality education that integrates Christian values, academic excellence, and real-world learning. The school accepts applications year-round from prospective students who meet the following criteria:

  • Submission of a completed application form

  • Academic records from prior school(s), if applicable

  • Diagnostic testing (if required)

  • Agreement with the school’s faith-based mission and values

  • Access to a reliable internet connection and device capable of online learning

 

How the Policy is Provided:
This written admissions policy is provided annually to parents and legal guardians of prospective students through the following means:

  • The school website (www.garwl.com)

  • The Annual Back-to-School Letter

  • The Admissions Information Packet (available upon inquiry)

 

  1. Age Requirements:

    • Kindergarten: Students must be 5 years old by September 1st of the academic year they are applying for.

  2. Educational Background:

    • For students entering Kindergarten, no previous educational background is required.

  3. Assessment:

    • Language Proficiency: For students for whom English is not the first language, proficiency in the English language will be assessed to ensure that the student can fully engage in the curriculum. English language learners may be provided with additional support if needed.

  4. Parental Commitment:

    • GARWL values strong communication between the school and families. Parents or legal guardians are expected to actively engage in their child’s educational journey and provide support as needed.

    • Parents are required to submit the Family Engagement Agreement as part of the application process, confirming their commitment to supporting their child’s learning, attending regular parent-teacher meetings, and participating in school events when possible.

  5. Behavioral and Social Expectations:

    • GARWL is dedicated to maintaining a positive and respectful learning environment. Students are expected to demonstrate good behavior in all interactions, both in the virtual classroom and in any school-related activities. Any history of significant behavioral issues may require a discussion with the admissions committee before proceeding with the application.

  6. Application Documentation:

    • Completed Student Application Form

    • Proof of Identity (birth certificate or passport)

    • Proof of Residency (for students in Maryland or abroad)

    • Immunization Records (for students applying to the school)

  7. Acceptance Criteria:

    • Upon reviewing all documents, students will be offered acceptance based on their eligibility and readiness to engage in GARWL’s academic and Christian education environment.

    • Admission is granted based on space availability. GARWL may have limited openings, and applications will be processed in the order they are received.

 

Application Process:

  1. Submit Application: Complete the online application form on the GARWL website or submit a paper application to the admissions office.

  2. Submit Documents: Send all necessary documents (transcripts, proof of identity, etc.) as specified above.

  3. Notification: Once all documents are reviewed, families will be notified of acceptance, and the enrollment process will begin.

 

Tuition and Fees:

An annual enrollment fee of $215.00 is required. Monthly tuition is $350.00.
